Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has dispatched a second formal letter to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), demanding the immediate return of his mobile device and written disclosure regarding the grounds of the ongoing investigation against him.
In his correspondence, Rizwan stated that authorities have yet to provide him with any formal written notification detailing the allegations, nor have they contacted him regarding further proceedings. Addressing claims surrounding his cooperation, Rizwan clarified that when authorities took possession of his phone in England on August 31, he voluntarily provided the password, allowing them to inspect the device in his presence under an explicit assurance that it would be returned within three hours following a swift digital forensic analysis.
Rizwan emphasized that he never withheld access credentials and fully cooperated during his subsequent appearance before the NCCIA on September 10, where officials again examined messages and data on his unlocked device in his presence. Urging the agency to follow due process, the wicketkeeper requested formal written documentation explaining the reasons behind the inquiry, a clear schedule for any future appearances, official communication directed exclusively to his home address, and the prompt return of his withheld mobile phone without further delay.
