Pakistan star batter Babar Azam has achieved a major career milestone, becoming the fifth Pakistani cricketer to score 16,000 runs across all formats in international cricket.
Azam crossed the landmark during Pakistan’s opening encounter of the ODI tri-nation series against Sri Lanka, compiling a 57-ball 45 featuring six boundaries. The knock took his cumulative international tally across Tests, ODIs, and T20Is to 16,038 runs.
He now joins an elite Pakistani run-scoring club led by Inzamam-ul-Haq (20,521 runs), followed by Younis Khan (17,790 runs), Mohammad Yousuf (17,134 runs), and legendary batter Javed Miandad (16,213 runs).
