According to sources the selection committee has decided not to include Babar Azam in Pakistan’s T20 squad against South Africa. A meeting was held today in Islamabad, attended by Head Coach Mike Hesson, Aaqib Javed, and members of the advisory committee.
After a detailed discussion, the committee concluded that Babar Azam will not be part of the T20 team for now. However, he is expected to make his return in the upcoming tri-nation series featuring Pakistan, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka.
The decision was made considering team balance and experimentation with new players ahead of future tournaments. Sources indicate that the committee wants to give young talent more opportunities in the South Africa series.
