The Pakistan Champions have officially withdrawn from the ongoing World Championship of Legends (WCL) Season 3 in the United Arab Emirates, tournament organizers have confirmed.
Releasing an official statement via their Instagram account, WCL management informed fans, partners, and the global cricket community that the Pakistan Champions would not participate in the current edition due to unforeseen circumstances. Following the withdrawal, the tournament—taking place from October 3 to 18 across venues in Sharjah and Dubai—will proceed with six teams rather than the initially scheduled seven.
The development follows the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) decision to withhold No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for Pakistani players aiming to feature in the league. Pakistan Champions owner Kamil Khan had previously indicated that franchise management formally requested the PCB to reconsider its stance, but the team’s participation could not be realized.
