Pakistan women’s fast bowler Kainat Imtiaz has officially announced her retirement from international cricket. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), she represented the national team in 19 One Day Internationals and 21 T20 Internationals. Imtiaz was notably a part of the Pakistan squads that secured Asian Games gold medals in both 2010 and 2014.

She made her final ODI appearance against Australia in January 2023 and played her last T20I against Thailand in October 2022. Transitioning away from her playing career, Imtiaz has remained closely involved with the sport by taking up commentary and recently beginning a new chapter as a women’s match referee. Her family continues its strong association with cricket officiating; her mother, Saleema Imtiaz, is the first Pakistani female umpire appointed to the ICC International Development Panel and has officiated in numerous international fixtures.
