Umar Gul pointed out that Pakistan’s bowlers struggle to maintain rhythm because the team does not play Test cricket regularly. Despite difficult weather conditions and long spells in the field, he said the bowlers continued to work hard.
He dismissed rumors circulating online about Shaheen Shah Afridi ignoring instructions from the coaching staff. Gul clarified that the situation occurred only because Hasan Ali had been hit on the head and Shaheen was being asked to replace him temporarily.
