Kane Williamson, one of New Zealand’s greatest cricketers, has announced his retirement from international cricket.Williamson represented New Zealand in a total of 378 international matches during his illustrious career.
The 35-year-old scored 19,346 international runs, the highest by any New Zealand player. He also registered 48 centuries and 6 double centuries across formats.Speaking about his retirement, Williamson said that he had been considering retirement for quite some time and now felt it was the right moment to step away from international cricket.

He added that representing New Zealand throughout his career had been a matter of immense pride.In Test cricket, Williamson played 110 matches and scored 9,515 runs, including 33 centuries.In One Day Internationals (ODIs), he accumulated 7,256 runs in 175 matches, with 15 centuries to his name.
He also featured in 93 T20 Internationals, scoring 2,575 runs for New Zealand.
