The iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium is set to witness a spectacular celebration of cricket — but with a twist. This time, it’s not the traditional hard-ball cricket, but an exciting tape-ball cricket extravaganza that will bring together global cricketing legends and top tape-ball specialists in one arena.
Scheduled for May 23, the Smart Union Premier League (SPL) will be the largest tape-ball cricket event of its kind, taking place at the legendary Sharjah International Cricket Stadium. This one-day league will feature eight competitive teams, showcasing over 20 renowned players from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, and South Africa.
Adding star power and fan frenzy to the event, several legendary Pakistani cricketers will be in attendance and part of the action, including:
Shahid Afridi, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mushtaq Ahmed, Mohammad Hafeez, Saeed Ajmal, Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, Sohail Tanvir, Imran Nazir, Umar Gul, Salman Butt, Sharjeel Khan,Nauman Ali, and tape-ball stars Taimoor Mirza, Qadir Kashmiri & Fahad Mian Channu.
Tillakaratne Dilshan from Sri Lanka, Imran Tahir from South Africa, and Mohammad Nabi from Afghanistan will also be part of the tournament.
