Shahid Afridi, former captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, called the Pahalgam incident a “drama” created by India and said he won’t play against Pakistan again in the future. He questioned how unknown people could act for an hour without the military stepping in. Afridi also claimed that India sometimes manipulates events, even “killing and bringing people back to life,” and said Pakistan has always tried to improve relations with India but faced negative responses.

He talked about the 2016 T20 World Cup, saying Pakistan went to India even though the team wasn’t sure about going. He also pointed out that India sends its kabaddi team to Pakistan but doesn’t send its cricket team.

Afridi said the people who started the Pakistan Super League (PSL) should have stuck with it. He mentioned that while some franchise owners are losing money, others are making profits. He also criticized the Pakistan cricket team for making excuses and said that any work with him should focus on improving the game at the grassroots level.

On the topic of hockey, Afridi said the sport is being ignored and needs more attention from the government. He hopes Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will help improve it. Afridi also clarified that his meeting with Army Chief General Asim Munir was not secretive or about gossip.
