Indian cricket team head coach and politician Gautam Gambhir has taken a strong stand against playing cricket with Pakistan. Speaking after the Pahalgam incident, Gambhir suggested that even matches held at neutral venues between India and Pakistan should be stopped.

In an interview with Indian news channel ABP, Gambhir was asked whether India should continue playing cricket against Pakistan after the recent conflict. He responded by saying, “I believe all cricket ties with Pakistan should be completely cut off.” He added that his opinion reflects the emotions of the Indian public, not just his personal views.

Before him, former Indian captains Sunil Gavaskar and Sourav Ganguly had also called for ending all cricketing relations with Pakistan.

However, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla responded to the calls, saying, “We support the victims, and we’ll follow whatever decision our government makes.” He confirmed that while India won’t play any bilateral (direct) series with Pakistan, the Indian team will still compete against Pakistan in international tournaments like ICC events.
