The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 faced an unexpected disruption as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) repatriated 23 Indian broadcast crew members, including engineers, cameramen, and production staff, back to India via the Wagah border. This move came after rising diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan, especially following a tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

To ensure safety, the Indian staff were advised to limit their movements in Pakistan until arrangements for their return were finalized. Meanwhile, FanCode, the official streaming partner for PSL in India, suspended all PSL coverage and removed tournament content from its platform.

The PCB is now working swiftly to bring in local or alternative international professionals to maintain the broadcast quality for the remainder of the tournament, which is scheduled to continue until May 18. This situation highlights how political tensions can quickly impact international sports events and stresses the importance of having backup plans in place.
