Bangladesh’s innings came to an end shortly after lunch on the second day, with the hosts being dismissed for 413 runs.

Pakistan got off to a solid start through debut opener Azaan Awais and Imam-ul-Haq, who shared a 106-run opening stand before Imam departed for 45.

Debutant Abdullah Fazal then joined Azaan at the crease, and the pair added 73 runs together. At close of play, Pakistan were 179 for 1.

Azaan Awais was unbeaten on 85, while Abdullah Fazal remained not out on 37. Despite Pakistan’s strong reply, Bangladesh still enjoy a 234-run advantage.

Earlier in the match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh were bowled out for 413 in the first innings of the opening Test.

Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto led the batting effort with 101 runs, while Mominul Haque added 91.

Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Mohammad Abbas, who took five wickets. Shaheen Afridi grabbed three wickets, while Hasan Ali and Nauman Ali claimed one wicket each.

Pakistan had earlier chosen to field first after winning the toss.
