Several Pakistani cricketers are poised to miss out on the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) due to a scheduling clash with a newly announced domestic tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to organize a mandatory four-team One Day tournament in August, compelling national players to stay back.
With the PCB prioritizing its domestic circuit, rising stars and established domestic performers alike are facing the brunt of the decision. Prominent names including Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Sufiyan Muqeem, Saad Masood, Usman Khan, and Salman Irshad are now highly unlikely to receive the required No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to participate in the CPL.
In a surprising turn of events, even Maaz Sadaqat, who had previously successfully acquired his NOC from the board, is now expected to miss the Caribbean league to ensure his participation in the local ODI competition.
