Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has fiercely criticized the current cricket management for stripping Shan Masood of the Test team captaincy.

Speaking on his YouTube channel regarding the sudden leadership change, Raja stated that the PCB made Masood a scapegoat by handing him a mediocre squad. “If I were in Shan’s position, I would have filed a formal written complaint,” Raja remarked. He questioned how anyone could expect superior results when consistently provided with an average group of players, adding that if the overall quality of the squad is lacking, the captain inevitably suffers the consequences.

Evaluating the squad selected for the upcoming West Indies series, the former cricketer also issued a stern warning that newly reappointed captain Babar Azam might soon face the exact same difficulties that ultimately plagued Shan Masood’s tenure.
