However, ex-cricketer Basit Ali strongly criticized him, saying Akram stayed silent during tense times and only spoke up once things calmed down.
Social media users also expressed disappointment over the delayed message. Meanwhile, with the ceasefire now in place, the chances of resuming PSL 10 have improved. Foreign players have been asked to stay in Dubai, and Rawalpindi is being considered as the venue for the remaining matches.
