Pakistan’s T20 captain, Salman Ali Agha, shared his views on emerging talent and future plans in an interview with Cricket Pakistan. He said he observes young players in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and will suggest names to the selectors based on performance. Salman admitted that playing all three formats can affect form, but he’s worked hard to improve, especially by understanding modern cricket and adding new shots to his game. He doesn’t focus on personal stats but wants to leave the team strong for the next generation.

Praising Shadab Khan’s leadership at Islamabad United, he called him one of the best PSL captains. Salman also recalled playing with Babar Azam at the school level and being close friends with players like Shadab, Saud Shakeel, Abdullah Shafique, and Saim Ayub. He shared that his passion for cricket began at a young age, despite no one in his family playing the sport. Lastly, he expressed hope for a PSL final between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars, as he has a strong connection to Lahore.
